Unresponsive Sea Dreams Aquarium

Here are a few troubleshooting tips specific to the Sea Dreams Aquarium. Additional, generic troubleshooting tips can be found in our general Troubleshooting article: I can't get my product to work. Do you have any troubleshooting tips?
For the Sea Dreams Aquarium:
* Please ensure you have new batteries in both the main toy and the remote. Sometimes people will replace the batteries in one, but not the other. Both need to be replaced.
* The remote is infrared, which means the remote needs to be pointing towards the IR sensor that is located at the top of the aquarium. If it is inconsistently pointed towards it, it will respond inconsistently.
* Also ensure you are within 12 feet of the aquarium, and that the power switch is in the ON position, which will allow you to choose a low or high volume. There are two switches at the top, an On/Off (power/volume) and a mode switch. The toy will respond differently depending on what mode you have selected (lights, no lights, music, no music, etc.).
* Ensure the volume is set to low or high. If it is stuck between the two, it will not function correctly.
* Sometimes just activating the Play/Stop button on the aquarium itself (star shaped and located on the front of the aquarium) will reset it so it will then respond to the remote.
