This item requires an external switch in order to work. If you try testing it without a switch, nothing will happen. Ensure you have fresh alkaline batteries installed and the switch you are using tests as working in other switch adapted products. Turn the on/off/volume wheel to turn the radio on and the volume up. While holding down your external switch, tune the radio to the desired channel.
