Please try these specific steps:
- Batteries: The batteries MUST be new alkaline batteries from a recently purchased, unopened pack. Even one weak battery can cause this product to not respond. Please do not use non-alkaline, 'heavy duty', rechargeable, or used batteries. If one new set of batteries doesn't make a difference, try a different set from an unopened pack.
- Ball Loading: Balls need to be loaded into the ball holder. Push them down far enough that they go past the little lever you can see down in there.
- On/Off Switch Position: The on/off switch needs to be in the ON position if you are not using an external switch. If you are using an external switch, keep the on/off switch in the OFF position. For troubleshooting, I recommend you do not use an external switch until you know that the product is functioning properly, then test with your external switch. When using an external switch, you must activate your switch throughout the entire pitch.
- Motor Wind-Up Time: The toy takes a few seconds to 'wind up' the motor before pitching and between each ball (approximately 11 seconds for the first pitch, 7 seconds for subsequent pitches), so please be patient!
