Here are troubleshooting suggestions for the Wireless Attendant Call system:
- Ensure batteries in both the transmitter and receiver have been replaced. Do not use rechargeable, used, or non-alkaline batteries. Keep in mind that, especially with the 12v transmitter batteries, if they are purchased as a carded set, all of the batteries in that set may be weak even if they have not been used yet. This happens most often in batteries that are not well known, name brands.
- Ensure the volume is up on the receiver.
- Ensure you do not have wireless interference from wireless phones, medical devices, etc. You can check this by moving to a different area of the building to test it.
- Test the system without the use of an external switch being plugged in. If the system works, then verify your external switch works in other switch adapted products. Once that is confirmed, plug your external switch into the transmitter and test the system.
- If the units are not 'talking' to one another, they will not work properly. To fix this, re-pair the transmitter to the receiver. Instructions on how to pair the units are located in the user's manual. If you have misplaced the instructions, you can download the user's manual here. If after trying this, you still have concerns, please clear the settings by pressing the Melody Change button for 5 seconds.
